Social Work Intern

Rodney, a former youth from Camden and graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, is currently a Social Work student at Rutgers-Camden, interning at LUCY. Growing up a few blocks from the center, and being able to relate to the youth on so many levels, Rodney knows his wisdom and life experience will be impactful with our teens today.
“I know many of their struggles and what it’s like to be counted out but I hopefully I can inspire some to keep pushing forward and never stop striving.”

He looks forward to graduating in May, then continuing on to obtain his Master’s next year. Rodney believes that any male or female can be whomever they want to be, and do anything they want with the necessary motivation, guidance and support. He’s excited to be helping out at LUCY, and for the opportunity to help and give back to his city and the youth in it. Welcome to the team Rodney! We’re so excited to have you onboard!
