When I am there I feel like I am surrounded by family. We encourage each other, both youth and staff, to do better. I know LUCY doesn’t stop after I graduate from the program. They will make sure that I succeed by helping me whenever I need them.”

“I am 24 now and joined LUCY at 16. Exposed to drugs, gangs, and violence in Camden, many of my friends and family fell victim to that life. I pursued a Criminal Justice degree and recently graduated from Rowan College of Burlington County, completing my final semester in Human Services. LUCY supported me through rough high school years and young adult milestones. Thank you, LUCY, for inspiring me to help others. I love you guys!”

“LUCY gave me opportunities I wouldn’t have had otherwise, exposing me to programs, speakers, and trips that shaped my worldview and inspired me to serve my community. Before LUCY, I was shy and had few friends. After joining, I made many friends and found a place where I could be heard. Now, I work part-time with the Camden Police Department and hope to go full-time soon. This year, I trained to become a volunteer to support new, younger youth, helping them benefit from LUCY’s love and support as I did.”
