Aryana Tang

“Freshman year in college has definitely been a big change for me. To learn how to manage my time well, be responsible, and advocate for myself has been hard but rewarding. I struggled in the beginning with making decisions but this helped me learn over time how to manage as a young adult, and soon after I got the hang of things I knew how to do it.

Being a Nursing major truly gave me a community that helps and supports one another which has been great. I understand that I’m not alone on this journey, and having the support of others, like my friends and family, to keep lifting me up when I started doubting myself, has been so important. I have made new friends that I can depend on and share interests with, I’m working a parttime job, and I have gotten involved with different campus clubs and programs to stay busy and have fun.

I am truly grateful for this opportunity to pursue what I’m passionate about. Thank you to the Baiada Scholarship for the financial help too! I had my ups and downs, but knowing I have a support system to lean on helps me mentally and emotionally. Thank you!”
