Aliyah Rojas

Aliah is a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s University, and after a difficult freshman year,
she has decided to commute for the remaining 2 ½ years at school.
Aliyah has taken on multiple leadership roles on campus and is the site leader for LUCY
Outreach as a weekly service site on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Aliyah is super helpful to
staff with driving, cheaperoning and assisting in the planning and implementation of trips and
programs. One fun event that Aliyah helped staff run with the Haddon Ave Pride Parade, in
which LUCY was a van/float in the parade for the night!
Aliyah has a 3.3 GPA, and has continued working her parttime job at Chik-Fil-A in Cherry Hill.
She is living with her grandmother and younger siblings, and maintains great contact with LUCY
staff, youth and alumni, recently attending holiday events for the graduates.
Aliyah wants to say: “I have fallen in love with SJU and am finally starting to make lots of
friends and get more involved on campus. HUGE thanks for the scholarship and support!”
