Emily is on-track to graduate from Montclair University in the spring, and her scholarship obligation from LUCY/LCOS has been fulfilled effective January 2024. Emily had an incredible college experience including the fact that she maintained honors throughout her four years, being a campus leader and Resident Assistant for one year, leader orientation, joining multiple clubs and intramural sports, and finding her love for Psychology,
Sociology and Social Work throughout many of her classes. Emily has maintained a great relationship with LUCY and Camden, is always texting, checking in and coming back to volunteer and intern, and has assisted her parents and sister as they’ve grown their two restaurants on Federal Street in Camden city. Emily recently applied and was accepted to Rowan University for her Masters in Social Work, and will be returning to LUCY for the summer to work with the LUCY littles Camp again in May.
Emily wanted to share: “I want to thank you guys so much for all of the support- from scholarship help to mentorship, always checking on me, giving me an opportunity last summer to be the littles Camp Team Lead, and making sure I stayed on track and graduated on-time. I can’t wait to give back to LUCY and help the next generation of youth with my future Social Work degree!“
