LUCY’s Afterschool Program is dedicated to fostering academic success and personal growth among low-income youth in Camden County, ages 7-14. By enhancing school engagement, the program helps improve daily attendance and strengthens students’ connections to their schools, leading to higher academic performance, better test scores, improved grades, and timely progression through each grade level. Beyond academics, the program is committed to positive youth development, working to reduce truancy and decrease the likelihood of involvement in negative behaviors, such as criminal activity, gang affiliation, substance abuse, and premature sexual activity. Through a supportive and structured environment, the Afterschool Program empowers young people to make positive choices and stay on a path toward success.
