The Youth Leadership Advisory Board is designed to engage and empower young leaders, equipping them with the skills and confidence to drive positive change within their communities and beyond. Participants are given opportunities to take on leadership roles both within LUCY and in external initiatives, including involvement in recruitment, program design, and implementation. LUCY supports these emerging leaders through two annual 3-day leadership trainings, held at the Jersey Shore and YMCA of the Pines in Medford, NJ. Additionally, the board members participate in three service immersion trips, during which they serve as Leaders in Training (LITs), Counselors in Training (CITs), and camp counselors, mentoring younger participants and fostering a spirit of service and leadership.
